faith*dependent food*dependent family*dependent
Centuries ago it was already determined that “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:4), so I will borrow from one of the great father’s of the faith, AW Tozer, who has so beautifully described the heart and passion behind my writing:
“This (blog) is a modest attempt to aid God’s hungry children so to find Him. Nothing here is new except in the sense that it is a discovery which my own heart has made of spiritual realities most delightful and wonderful to me. Others before me have gone much farther into these holy mysteries than I have done, but if my fire is not large it is yet real, and there may be those who can light their candle at its flame.”
We are all dependent on God. In Him we live and breathe and have our being (Acts 17:28). He created us (Jeremiah 1:5). He created the world that we live in and enjoy (Genesis 1). And Jesus has come that we might enjoy our lives and enjoy them to the full (John 10:10). How much we enjoy our life rests on how much we depend on Jesus, for our faith, food, and family because apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
When we see our heavenly Father as intimately connected and concerned with even the seemingly mundane aspect of our lives, we will want to honor Him with every breath and every bite.
